Over the past few years, we have had a variety of wonderful events at St. Andrew's Stone Church, including Easter Sunrise Services, concerts, live theatre, a christening and several weddings. Scottish heritage was celebrated at St. Andrew’s Stone Church on 24 June, 2017 with step dancing, a musical banquet of Scottish tunes, Celtic vocals and violin and our local Sandhill Pipe Band. Everyone did their part to make this year’s St. Andrew’s Stone Church Scottish Afternoon a huge success and we’re looking forward to our 2018 event.
Of course, we always look forward to the annual Christmas service. A Traditional Scottish Christmas Evening was celebrated on December 16, 2017 with sounds of the bagpipes, scripture readings, story telling, soloists and pump organ carols. Santa Claus was even able to make a visit. The evening ended, as always, by warmth and chat around the wood stove, while we enjoyed hot cider and Scottish treats such as candied orange peel dipped in chocolate and delicious cookies. A beautiful part of the Christmas season.
Events for 2018
Please join us for our annual Scottish Day, which will be held June 23, 2018. We plan to have several wonderful performers, including vocalists, pipers, fiddlers, and step dancers. We can offer you an afternoon of all things Scottish, including traditional Scottish shortbread. You don't have to be Scottish to attend!
We also look forward to celebrating our Traditional Scottish Christmas Evening.
